Hello
I bought a couple of your photograph's of Edinburgh in the early evening from your stand on the Royal Mile this week. I never normally buy any pictures but these really caught my eye. My mum is from Edinburgh but has been living in Elgin since 1973 so I got her one which I am going to have framed for her Christmas. Keep up the good work and I hope to purchase from your stand again next summer.

I was back in Edinburgh visting family, in June, when your stand on the Royal Mile caught my eye. We had a chat and I realised that I thought I had one of your original paintings at home in Tamborine Mountain, Australia. Yes - we do! I have checked and we have your painting looking along a road from East Lothian to Edinburgh. We love the unusal perspectives and it is greatly admired. We chose it before we emigrated to always keep a bit of Scotland in our home. Next time we come aback, we'll need to add another!

Hi Bill
Nice to meet you the other day at the framers. I love your website.
I have been a great admirer of your work over the past few years, having come late into the business of selling my own paintings. your sense of composition and colour balance is splendid. My old studio master James Morrison used to say that 'good drawing was the basis for all work of any merit' your draftmanship and technique shines through.

The two photos of Arthurs Seat which we bought of of you on that stunningly beautiful day in Edinburgh are wonderful reminders of our visit,(particularly the long shot with the single figure silhouetted against the light). All our friends admire them, and promise that they willbuy something off of you when they travel over there, so, don't leave that spot.

All the best from sunny Queensland,
Gary.

Hi

It was great to meet you in Edinburgh in July 2008. I promised to look up your website and have only found time to do so now, in December, yet it was worth the wait. The two paintings that we bought in the summer now hang in our bedroom in Gibraltar, constantly reminding us of our holiday and of the welcoming Scottish people and of beautiful Edinburgh. Thank you! Harry

Hi William,
bought a wonderful photograph of Edinburgh of you this summer. It´s now framed and hang in the hallway. Probably I will come back to Edingburgh in February. Than i will visit your shop, because i don´t think you will stay near Mary King´s Close in February :-)

Kind regards

Dear William

Just a short email to thank you for the very helpful painting advice you gave me on my recent trip to Edinburgh. As an amateur artist I greatly appreciated your help which I have rarely found from a true professional. I think your work is absolutely brilliant and on my next trip to Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland I will try to put your sound advice into action. Many thanks once again from the 69 year old Watercolour 'man', Billy Austin from Ireland.

We love the photographs that we bought from you - they're getting framed right now and I've selected a wonderful spot on my Pentagon office wall for them to hang. I'm looking forward to showing them off to my friends and having a terrific reminder of our great visits to Scotland.

Dear William,
My mother and I each purchased paintings from you while visiting in Edinburgh. They are truly beautiful and will remind us of a lovely trip through Scotland. One is of a lighthouse, and the other is of a brook in the hills.
We are glad to have met you and treasure our paintings.
Thank you,
Meegan

William. I really enjoyed looking at your photographs last week and I am very pleased with the one that I bought from you. Your work is very interesting and I am surprised that I had not seen it on sale elsewhere. I am not expert but to my untrained eye it is top quality and, more importantly, a delight and pleasure to look at.

This website is enjoyable as well and I very much like some of the paintings you have on here. I am sure that my wife and I will be back to buy more of your work.

All the best and thank you.

Hi Bill

Just dropping by to show my appreciation for your photographs. You've managed to capture the essence of my home city of Edinburgh, with its wonderful liquid light. Your images have a refreshing clarity, which avoid the traditional, banal and cliched. This is no mean achievement. Enchanting, beautifully composed and serene. A balm to the soul.

Kind regards
Graeme

Hello. I have not bought any of your paintings but I must say that they look nice. The photographs of Edinburgh are enjoyable too. It is many years since I have been to the Queen's Park and enjoyed the view that you have captured. Perhaps I shall get to Edinburgh again one day and enjoy the views you show once more. Do you not sell paintings on-line?
